Bento de Jesus
Caraça Vocational School – Barreiro Branch
The Bento de Jesus Caraça Vocational School (EPBJC) is a non-profit institution, created in 1989 through a programme contract signed between CGTP-IN and the Ministry of Education. It is committed to quality vocational education and its mission is to train competent technicians and conscious, participatory citizens dedicated to building a fairer, more democratic and humanist society.
In existence for more than 35 years, it offers quality education based on knowing how to do, knowing how to be and knowing how to behave, with the main objective of its educational project being to train “Active Citizens and Competent Technicians”, stimulating reasoning through practical and engaging teaching, delivered by qualified professionals who know and love what they do. The school is characterised by being an inclusive institution, where the learning pace and individual characteristics of each student are respected. It also values the relationship between teacher, student, family and content, involving and holding all parties accountable in the learning process. EPBJC trains young people with practical, quality education. Here, each student discovers their own path and develops the skills needed for the future — whether in the world of work or in the pursuit of further studies.
